Life Is Short

Two weeks ago we lost a co-worker from Corporate HR at MGM MIRAGE. He was only 42 years old and had such a great spirit and sense of humor. It made me think about the foot prints I'm making in my own life. What's the legacy I will leave behind. How will people remember me? Am I giving people "live or die" votes in my actions and behaviors?
Life is so brief and short yet we live like we've got all this time out ahead of us. We never know when we will close our eyes for the final time and leave this planet. The past is there to learn from, the future is like wet cement for us to make our impressions in and leave a legacy. The cement doesn't stay wet forever.

I wonder if I knew I only had a year to live what would I do with that time? What would I change? Who would I spend my final time with? Would work be that important?
